What To Wear: The Players Championship
To us, The Players’ Championship marks the unofficial start of spring. The sun is out, the days are longer, and suddenly we’re reaching for lighter fabrics and effortless silhouettes. Whether you’re spending the entire day walking the course at TPC Sawgrass or meeting friends for an afternoon round and cocktails, the key to what to wear to The Players’ Championship is simple: comfort first, always.
You’ll be walking more than you think, so breathable fabrics and easy shapes are essential. Sundresses are always a win. A midi or maxi dress feels feminine but practical, moves beautifully in the breeze, and transitions seamlessly from daytime spectating to dinner after. Paired with simple sandals and oversized sunglasses, it’s polished without trying too hard.
Rompers and matching sets are another favorite for long tournament days. They feel intentional but relaxed, and they allow you to move comfortably from hole to hole. If you want something even more functional, a chic athletic set — think a sleek tennis skirt or an elevated matching set — works perfectly at a golf tournament while still feeling styled.
Shoes matter more than anything. This is not the day for heels. Stick to comfortable sandals, supportive flats, or fashion sneakers that can handle a full day outside. The goal is to look put together while still being able to walk the entire course with ease.
Accessories pull everything together. Sunglasses are a must and layered jewelry keeps things elevated. If you can walk comfortably, feel confident, and head straight to dinner without changing, you’ve nailed your Players look.
